Animal Control & Shelter

The Evanston Police Department is responsible for enforcing ordinances relating to animals, controlling stray animals, and the county animal shelter.

Business Licensing

Business license renewals are due March 1 of each year and expire on February 28 of the following year.

City Park Picnic Reservations

Picnic reservations are accepted at the Recreation Center between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Facility Rental Information

The City of Evanston maintains several buildings for use to the public, including the Beeman-Cashin Building, the Historic Train Depot, the Machine Shop, and the tent in Depot Square.

Liquor Licensing

Any person intending to sell or dispense any alcoholic or malt liquor in an established location must first obtain a liquor license authorized by the governing body from the City of Evanston.
