Special Response Team (SRT)
The Evanston Special Response Team (SRT) was organized to help support the Evanston Police Department and any other requested law enforcement agency when a tactical response to a critical incident is needed.
The following critical incidents are some that may activate the Special Response Team:
- Hostage situations
- Barricaded suspects
- High risk arrest
- High risk warant service
- Protection of VIPs, suspects, or witnesses
- Special assignments
