    Personal Statement
When I was first asked to serve on this board I wondered, why me?  I was a new mom and had just put my teaching career on hold to raise a family.  What did I have to give the Urban Renewal Agency?  Well, I gladly accepted my appointment and reminded myself that I do have a lot to offer.  I am an Evanston native and I am invested in this community with endless hours of volunteer work and monetary donations.  I care about Evanston and its future.  I want this community to prosper and I want my children to be proud of their hometown and to believe in giving back to meaningful organizations.  I believe in downtown preservation and revitalization and the National Main Street Approach.  The City of Evanston has a rich history and a brilliant future.  I simply want to help preserve and promote.
